Something I've been playing around with after reading Chritie Friesen's latest book Under the Sea, is incorporating beads into the clay.

Her work is amazing and her books are great to read for pure entertainment value even if you have no interest in clay... You can find more of her work here...http://www.cforiginals.net/

So while inspired by CF, they're nothing like hers, although I'd love it if I was told they looked like hers.... But! I'm a realist. Well almost.

A beautiful friend of mine had a birthday a few days back and so I decided for her, a money box it shall be...it's covered in flowers and leaves and ladybugs and fruit....there's strawberrys...can you see them? It's like a Where's Wally of clay.
It's also super shiny as I spent forever at the buffing wheel with it and it makes such a huge difference.

Oh my goodness! Is it just me, or does everyone feel like the year is well and truly in full swing? I remember the beginning of the year being slow and dull and rather unintersting, but someone seemed to have forgotten to tell 2007 that.... We've now been living like grown ups for a year and that means it's a year since our tripped ended. We've both been reminiscing over old pics and great times...This would have to be one of fav pics. The tree is a boab and they are very localised and can only be found around the Kimberlies in WA. We were in Derby, a very remote, tiny little place, and after visiting their tourist center and acquiring a map with a list of to do's, we decided to try them out...So hug a boab it was...
